My name is Brian Coleman. I set up BC Fitness In 2013 in a small unit at the back of my house. Since then I have been lucky enough to build a fantastic base of loyal clients and my own purpose-built studio in Ballyjamesduff, Cavan. Clients come from all the surrounding towns of Virginia, Oldcastle, Mountnugent, Ballymachugh, Kilnaleck, Lavey, Kilinkere, Killygarry, Cavan & Castlepollard to form one of the friendliest and welcoming fitness communities in the area!
I want people to enjoy their experience with me, so if you’re looking for a coach to roar in your face and put you through hell for an hour, this isn’t the place for you. I want to help you work to the best of your ability while in a friendly, open minded & fun environment.
Confidence, self-esteem and pride is what I want to develop in anyone who comes to me. That means that no matter what your level of fitness is, no matter how much experience you have exercising, you will feel like you are improving bit by bit. Its never too late to get started!
What I hate to see is someone intimidated in a place where we all just want to do our best. One thing I guarantee is that you will leave BC Fitness feeling good about yourself. You may be sweating, you possibly exhausted, but you will be proud of yourself!
A little more about myself –
I grew up playing all sorts of sports from GAA, badminton, golf, soccer, tennis & basketball. Loving anything that involved movement began my interest in getting the most out of the human body.
I am also a Type 1 Diabetic since I was 11 years old, and of course from that nutrition became a vital part of my life.
I completed my Fitness Instruction, Group instruction & Personal Training Qualifications back in 2013 with Image Fitness in Dublin. Never forgetting what my mentor preached, “You have a very basic knowledge of fitness & nutrition now. Very basic. Where do you go from here? Read! Find experienced coaches & follow their work, watch them, listen to them, question them. The moment you think you have covered it all is the moment you have given up!!”
With that in mind, I have gone on to complete numerous workshops & courses like KG Elite, Pillars of Movement, Precision Nutrition, MNU & learn from great coaches like Andy ‘Ironmac’ MacKenzie, Grant Ford, Eric Cressey, Dr. Andreo Spina & Martin MacDonald.
